We're now offering our grip chop service for full-size 2011-style polymer grip modules to accept compact 16-round (120mm) Staccato C2 magazines. This can be done for most brands of 2011-style polymer grip modules as well as the new MJD Solutions carbon/kevlar/polymer grip module.
Staccato used to sell their compact and full-size Gen2 grip modules separately, but they are no longer available for purchase. The new MJD Solutions grip module is a great high quality option for a separate grip module, but it is currently only available as a full-size grip. Unlike the old discontinued STI VIP compact grip module (the predecessor to the C2 grip) that was just a full-size grip cut down at the factory and utilized a shorter proprietary "Officer" size polymer mainspring housing (also discontinued), our grip chop retains the full-size mainspring housing by using a "step-cut" to accommodate the shorter magazines. This maintains a full-size feel in the hand while enhancing concealability.
Below are some examples of 2011-style grip modules that we've chopped, chamfered, and textured with our Concealed Carry texture in a 360-degree wrap around configuration. We also added smooth borders on the bottom of the mainspring housings to match the magwell borders for a custom touch on each one, which is not a standard offering with the grip chop service.

NOTE: The new Prodigy 1911DS Compact magazines are 3mm shorter than Staccato C2 magazines, so they will not work with our grip chop that is meant for Staccato C2 magazines. We can certainly do a step-cut grip chop specifically for the Prodigy compact magazines, but there will be a bit of a gap if/when using C2 magazines.
