We're now offering our grip chop service for full-size 2011-style polymer grip modules to use compact 16-round Staccato C2 magazines. This can be done for most brands of 2011-style polymer grip modules as well as the new MJD Solutions carbon/kevlar/polymer grip module. Staccato used to sell their full-size and compact grip modules separately, but they are no longer available for purchase. The new MJD Solutions grip module is a great high quality option for a separate grip module, but it is currently only available as a full-size grip. Unlike the old STI VIP compact grip module (the predecessor to the C2 grip) that was just a full-size grip cut down at the factory and utilized a proprietary officer size mainspring housing (also no longer available to purchase), our grip chop retains the full-size mainspring housing by using a "step" cut to accommodate the shorter magazines.
Here is a Springfield Prodigy 1911DS grip module that we chopped, chamfered, and textured with our Concealed Carry texture in a 360-degree wrap around configuration and added a smooth magwell border on the bottom of the mainspring housing.
